MMH Acute Care Extension Site at Batesville Primary School to close today

first_imgBatesville, IN—As a result of the consistent decline in patients in the community presenting with COVID-19 symptoms, the last day for appointments at the Acute Care Extension Site at the Batesville Primary School will be today. Beginning Monday, appointments for all ill patients, including those with COVID-19-like symptoms, will be scheduled at the Margaret Mary Orthopaedic and Specialty Center located on State Route 129.MMH wants to reassure the community the health, well-being, and safety of every patient, visitor, and team member is of the highest priority. During this pandemic, MMH is adhering to the guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and taking extra precautions to limit the potential exposure and spread of the virus, including:Masking all patients and team membersScreening all patients and team members for illness as they enter any MMH facilityEnforcing enhanced visitor restrictions to limit the number of individuals entering the facilityExtensively cleaning exam rooms and equipment between each patientRoutinely disinfecting common areas throughout the dayAdjusting appointment schedules to limit patient-to-patient interactionEstablishing COVID and Non-COVID care zones to prevent cross-contaminationProviding social distancing visual cues in waiting rooms and registration areasIf you are experiencing symptoms and need guidance on when to seek medical care, please call the MMH COVID-19 Hotline at 812.933.5556.last_img
