Julien Williams charged $850 for possession of Canabis

first_img 28 Views   no discussions Julien Williams a twenty four year old of Eggleston pleaded guilty to all three charges of possession of canabis with intent to supply at the Magistrate Court this morning.Police Prosecutor in reading the facts stated that the accused was walking down the road in Eggleston when officers stopped him because he appeared suspicious. After conducting a search they found 5 grams of canabis in his pocket and he was arrested and brought before the Magistrate.Counsel for the Defendant Mr. Peter Alleyne in mitigation for his client told the Court; ” He is twenty-four years old and does not have any previous conviction of any kind. He has been employed at Burton & Company the Electric Shop for many years. It is a small amount relatively and he was not sitting on the road side abusing the law. He didn’t resist arrest, he co-operated freely showing a level of respect to law enforcement officers. I ask that the Court gives him time to pay the fine.”Magistrate Evelina Baptiste in rendering her sentence informed the Defendant that since this is his first offense and because he co-operated with Police Officers  these work in his favor.
