first_imgTermon celebrate againBRAVE Glenfin came up just short as Termon made it four senior county ladies titles in a row.It looked easy in the end at the excellent pitch at St Mary’s, Convoy, as the reigning All-Ireland champions won 4-13 to 1-11.But it could have been so different had Glenfin taken some early chances – and the excellent Karen Guthrie been given a penalty for being dragged down in the box. Termon raced into an early lead, Shannon McGroddy netting after just six seconds.Geraldine McLaughlin added points to give Termon an early 1-04 to 0-01 lead.Glenfin did respond, it was worth the entry fee alone to see Guthrie point from distance off her left foot to reduce the deficit to 1-04 to 0-04.Then Geraldine McLaughlin scored to the net from the penalty spot as Termon pulled ahead and led at half-time 2-08 to 0-05. Glenfin dominated the second half but every time Termon turned the ball over, it led to scores.
